Beribboned Bunny

This bunny is 10.5 inches tall and 11.75 inches wide.

Mayco Paints were used in this project.
Basecoat bunny with Chocolate Fudge.
Antique with Golden Buckskin Twinkle, wipe off excess with a soft cloth.
Drybrush 1 to 2 coats of Chocolate Fudge followed with 2 coats of Chocolate and Medium Mocha. Apply these colors much heavier to bunny's belly, pads of feet and inside of ears and much lighter on all other areas. Continue with a coat of Light Umber and Light Taupe and a highlight coat of Buttermilk added to your brush. Again apply heavily to areas earlier mentioned. Using Rich Rose, blush cheeks, noses, and insides of ears. Come back with Buttermilk to tone down if necessary.
Paint iries of eye Rich Blue, with Black for pupil and a dot of White for glint in eye.
Shade as desired using Chocolate Fudge.
Patch Pal Bunnies
Base coat brown bunnies with Medium Brown. Then dry brush with Soft Brown. Base coat white bunnies with Dark Grey. Then dry brush with White.
Ears & Feet are lightly dry brushed with Mauve. Paint eyes and nose Black. White dot in eye for glint.
Flowers on feet, dry brushed White. Green bow tie - paint solid with Leaf Green, with paint still in your brush add a little bit of white and dry brush lightly over bow tie again for soft affect. Purple bow tie - paint Mystic Purple, also add White for soft affect. Flowers - paint solid with Daffodil or Rose, then add White for soft affect. Spray with Matt Sealer.
Alyssa Bunny and Aaron Bunny Each bunny stands 13 inches tall with a light in the base. Mayco paints were used in this project: Base Coat bodies with Buttermilk, yellow areas with Marigold, pink areas with Rich Rose, purple areas with Bluberri and green areas with Country Sage. Antique with a 1:1 mix of Golden Buckskin and Ginny Tan Twinkle, wipe off excess with a soft cloth. Dry brush bodies with 2 to 3 coats of Buttermilk followed with 2 coats of White. Blush cheeks, noses and inside of ears with Rich Rose. Drybrush all other colors to areas with 2 coats of the original basecoat color followed with Buttermilk and then White to highlight. Paint iris of eye Rich Blue, with Black for pupil and a dot of White for glint in eye.
Bunny with Bridge Scene This bunny stands 17 inches tall. For a lighted buuny, cuffs and sleeves have holes cut out (or hearts) or leave solid for a non-lighted bunny. Mayco paints were used in this project: Base Coat color to areas as follows: Buttermilk to all white areas. Sky Blue to sky. Navy to water area, sleeve, and pant cuffs. Chocolate Fudge to brown areas. Forest Green to grass areas and some trees. Accent Green to evergreen trees & some foliage. Medium Gray to gray areas. Royal Fuchsia to pink bushes and trees. Antique with 1:1 mixture of Golden Buckskin and Ginny Tan Twinkle. Wipe off excess with a soft cloth. Drybush white areas with 3 - 4 coats of Buttermilk followed with 2 - 3 coats of White. Blush cheeks & insides of ears with Rich Rose. Drybrush sky areas with 2 coats of sky Blue, followed with 2 coats of White added to your brush. Drybrush blue trim on cuffs with Navy followed with Dark Blue and Medium Blue, highlight with White added to your brush. Drybrush river with Navy Blue followed with Dark Blue. Add a small amount of Forest to your brush & highlight river, highlight with added White. Drybrush grass with Forest Green followed with Country Sage, Limeburst, and a small amount of Brightest Yellow added to your brush. Drybrush dark foliage with Accent Green followed with Forest Green, highlight with Country Sage. Drybrush brown areas with Chocolate Fudge followed with Chocolate and Medium Mocha, highlight with a small amount of Buttermilk added to your brush. Drybrush pink bushes & trees with Royal Fuschia, highlight with White added to your brush. Drybrush rocks & path with Medium Gray followed with Light Gray added to your brush, highlight lightly with a small amount of White added to your brush. Pant nose Rich Rose, eyes Black. Drybrush nose with Rich Rose mixed with White. Shade as desired with Medium Mocha. Finish: Using washed cotton material, rip about 1 1/2 inch strip and tie bow around bunny's neck as shown.
Giddy Duck This duck is 5 inches high and is fun to paint. Mayco paints were used in this project. Base coat duck Brightest Yellow. Make a wash of Honey toast. (water mixed with paint for a transparent look) Hold piece over a bowl and brush wash mixture over entire piece. Allow the wash to fill in the creases. Allow piece to dry thoroughly by placing in front of a fan. Drybrush 1-2 coast of Brightest Yellow over duck. Gradually add white to your brush and highlight belly, edges of wings, and around face. Paint feet and beak Orange Peel. Add a little bit of White to your brush and drybrush highlights. Paint eyelashes Golden Ochre. Drybrush a wash of Wedgewood Blue on eye lids. Spray with matt spray.
Small Egg Belly Bunnies These bunnies stand 5.5 and 6 inches high. Doc Holliday paints were used in this project. Base coat bunnies (except egg) Light Gray. Drybrush bunnies 2 to 3 coats of White. Paint nose Petal pink. Add a bit of White to your brush and highlight nose. Paint inside ears and paws a wash of Petal Pink by dipping a wet brush in the paint and testing on a piece of clean white paper until the paint on your brush looks transparent. Paint eyes Country Blue with Black pupil and 2 white dots in eyes for glint. Paint edge of egg White, followed by Pearl-it. Paint 2 to 3 coats of Lilac Sandstone on Egg. Allow to dry thoroughly between coats. Paint Glitterette on Egg for sparkle. Spray piece with Matt Spray. Stuff iridescent grass in eggs. Add flowers in egg. Add a spray of flowers on stand up bunny thru hole in back of bunny. Glue around this hole to help hold flowers in place.
Egg Belly Bunny This bunny stands 15 inches high. Doc Holliday paints were used in this project. Base coat bunnies (except egg) Light Gray. Drybrush bunnies 2 to 3 coats of White. Paint nose Petal pink. Add a bit of White to your brush and highlight nose. Paint inside ears and paws a wash of Petal Pink by dipping a wet brush in the paint and testing on a piece of clean white paper until the paint on your brush looks transparent. Paint eyes Country Blue with Black pupil and 2 white dots in eyes for glint. Paint edge of egg White, followed by Pearl-it. Paint 2 to 3 coats of Lilac Sandstone on Egg. Allow to dry thoroughly between coats. Paint Glitterette on Egg for sparkle. Spray piece with Matt Spray. Cut out a cardboard oval platform with tabs on the longer ends. Paint cardboard white and glue iridescent grass on it. Bend down tabs and place inside bunny. Glue tabs to inside of bear also tape them down with masking tape to reinforce. Glue tiny bunnies with 527 glue to cardboard base - see picture for placement. Insert a spray of flowers through hole in back of bunny. Attached Clip on light and enjoy!
Reaching Bunny This piece stands 12 inches high. Doc Holliday paints were used in this project. Base: Base coat Real Brown. Drybrush Medium brown on sides and bottom. Drybrush grass area Lexington Green with the same brush drybrush Grass green and highlight with Leaf Green followed by Willow Green. For stones, drybrush with Light Gray. Paint a wash of Country Blue on the stones. Drybrush stones again with white for highlight. Tree and nest: Base coat Real Brown. Drybrush with Medium Brown then with the same brush drybrush with Dark Beige followed by Soft Brown. On Dead end of branches drybrush with Cream. For the grass and stones at the base of the tree, follow the same directions as above for the base. Drybrush nest Mustard then with Flaxon Yellow. Highlight with Cream. Birds: Base Coat Sky Blue. Paint a wash of Country Blue over the birds and allow to dry thoroughly. Drybrush Sky Blue followed by white highlights on top of head, cheeks and wings. Paint beak Mustard and highlight with the same brush with White. Bunnies: Base coat bunnies Light Gray. Drybrush bunnies 2 to 3 coats of White. Paint nose Petal pink. Add a bit of White to your brush and highlight nose. Paint inside ears and paws a wash of Petal Pink by dipping a wet brush in the paint and testing on a piece of clean white paper until the paint on your brush looks transparent. Paint eyes of bunnies and birds Country Blue with Black pupil and 2 white dots in eyes for glint. Spray all pieces with matt sealer. To secure bunny to tree, place 527 glue on tree and bunny and gum band bunny to tree and let dry overnight. Glue foam in nest then glue birds onto foam. Continue to glue all other pieces together as shown in picture with 527 glue. Glue moss and flowers to tree.
