Reaching Bunny This piece stands 12 inches high. Doc Holliday paints were used in this project. Base: Base coat Real Brown. Drybrush Medium brown on sides and bottom. Drybrush grass area Lexington Green with the same brush drybrush Grass green and highlight with Leaf Green followed by Willow Green. For stones, drybrush with Light Gray. Paint a wash of Country Blue on the stones. Drybrush stones again with white for highlight. Tree and nest: Base coat Real Brown. Drybrush with Medium Brown then with the same brush drybrush with Dark Beige followed by Soft Brown. On Dead end of branches drybrush with Cream. For the grass and stones at the base of the tree, follow the same directions as above for the base. Drybrush nest Mustard then with Flaxon Yellow. Highlight with Cream. Birds: Base Coat Sky Blue. Paint a wash of Country Blue over the birds and allow to dry thoroughly. Drybrush Sky Blue followed by white highlights on top of head, cheeks and wings. Paint beak Mustard and highlight with the same brush with White. Bunnies: Base coat bunnies Light Gray. Drybrush bunnies 2 to 3 coats of White. Paint nose Petal pink. Add a bit of White to your brush and highlight nose. Paint inside ears and paws a wash of Petal Pink by dipping a wet brush in the paint and testing on a piece of clean white paper until the paint on your brush looks transparent. Paint eyes of bunnies and birds Country Blue with Black pupil and 2 white dots in eyes for glint. Spray all pieces with matt sealer. To secure bunny to tree, place 527 glue on tree and bunny and gum band bunny to tree and let dry overnight. Glue foam in nest then glue birds onto foam. Continue to glue all other pieces together as shown in picture with 527 glue. Glue moss and flowers to tree.
